MOSES THROW IT IN THE AIR IN SIGHT OF PHARAOH. AND ON PEOPLE AND ON ANIMALS IT CAUSED FESTERING BOILS. THEN MOSES EXTENDED HIS STAFF TOWARD THE SKY. AND YAHWEH SENT HAIL THAT STRUCK DOWN ANYTHING THAT WAS IN THE FIELDS, BOTH PEOPLE AND ANIMALS. IT DESTROYED EVERYTHING THAT GROWS IN THE FIELDS AND

NIGHTS, EATING AND DRINKING NOTHING, AND ON THE TABLETS HE WROTE THE WORDS OF THE COVENANT—THE TEN WORDS. YAHWEH SPOKE TO MOSES AND SAID, “MAKE ME A SANCTUARY SO I CAN DWELL AMONG THE PEOPLE. YOU MUST MAKE IT ALL ACCORDING TO THE DESIGNS FOR THE DWELLING THAT I SHALL NOW SHOW YOU.” “MAKE ME AN ARK OF ACACIA WOOD. OVERLAY IT WITH PURE GOLD, BOTH INSIDE AND OUT. CAST FOUR GOLD RINGS AND FIX THEM TO THE FOUR SUPPORTS. MAKE POLES OF ACACIA WOOD AND OVERLAY THEM WITH GOLD AND PASS THEM THROUGH THE

MOSES, AND THE DWELLING WAS ERECTED ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE FIRST MONTH OF THE SECOND YEAR. THEN THE CLOUD COVERED THE TENT OF MEETING, AND THE GLORY OF YAHWEH FILLED THE DWELLING. THROUGHOUT THEIR JOURNEYS, WHENEVER THE CLOUD ROSE FROM THE DWELLING, THE ISRAELITES WOULD MOVE ONWARD. BUT IF THE CLOUD DID NOT RISE, THEY WOULD NOT MOVE ON UNTIL THE DAY IT ROSE UP. AND AT NIGHT THERE WAS FIRE INSIDE THE CLOUD FOR THE WHOLE HOUSE OF ISRAEL TO SEE THROUGHOUT THEIR TRAVELS.

SHE SAID, “THIS IS ONE OF THE LITTLE HEBREWS.” THE CHILD’S SISTER SAID TO PHARAOH’S DAUGHTER, “SHALL I GO AND FIND A HEBREW WOMAN TO NURSE THE CHILD FOR YOU?” “YES,” SAID PHARAOH’S DAUGHTER. AND THE GIRL WENT AND CALLED THE CHILD’S OWN MOTHER. PHARAOH’S DAUGHTER SAID TO HER, “TAKE THIS CHILD AWAY AND NURSE IT FOR ME. I SHALL PAY YOU MYSELF FOR DOING SO.” SO THE WOMAN TOOK THE CHILD AWAY AND NURSED IT. WHEN THE CHILD GREW UP, SHE BROUGHT HIM TO PHARAOH’S DAUGHTER, WHO TREATED HIM LIKE A SON.
