Use one basic highlight color for this step. Using a no. 4 round sable brush, apply a silver lining—a mixture of Titanium White

careful and a bit more precise in this step. Add a little more Titanium White (gesso) and a touch of Cadmium Yellow Light to the mixture you used in step 4. Carefully highlight the very tops of the clouds with this new mixture and a no. 4 flat sable brush. Don’t apply too many highlights, but make sure the paint is opaque so it stays nice and bright. 6 Underpaint Background Mountains Redraw the sketch lines for the large mountain that you painted over in step 2. Make a mixture of Titanium White

indicate a more three-dimensional effect. Drybrush the brighter highlight on the front of the rabbit with a no. 4 round sable brush and creamy, pure Titanium White (gesso). Paint a rim around the eye, making sure it is slightly broken. Add the highlight in the pupil with a no. 4 round sable, and you’ve got a rabbit! 10 Drift Snow on Rabbit and Weeds Settle the weeds and rabbit down so they don’t look like they’re floating. Drift the snow up against the rabbit and all of the weeds you can reach
